International Program

“The fine-arts extracurricular activities, such as choir, band, and drama programs, help students understand the process and elements involved in artistic and creative expressions; enrich the students’ aesthetic and spiritual sensitivity, and foster an appreciation of the fine arts as a part of a balanced formation. Since these activities are regarded as valuable to the educational program, Everest International Program encourages participation as a complement to academic life.” – Student Handbook

Students in grades 5-8 have the option of choosing band or choir to fulfill their music class requirement at Everest Academy. Everest students can choose between the following instruments: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, or percussion. Students who sign up for band must either already know how to play the instrument or at least know how to read music. Students may either bring their instrument with them or rent the instrument here. Instrument rental has an additional cost.

Students who choose choir will have class once a week with their classmates. They will learn various songs throughout the year which they will presentation together with the band at the Christmas program and Fine Arts Night.

In addition, there are choir club options available for both middle school and high school students.

Private music lessons are available upon request and dependent upon the availability of a suitable teacher. These lessons have an additional fee.
