International Program

Everest Mountaineers Camp is a gender-specific, four week long English language camp. Campers reside in the dormitory facilities of Everest International Program and are able to make use of the facilities of both the Oxford campus and the Clarkston campus.

Campers participate in a month of friendship and fun. They practice their English skills through full English immersion and English classes. They participate in Mass and daily prayer. They build teamwork and leadership skills through activities. They form habits of character by forming order, punctuality, responsibility, and social manners. Above, all they have a life-long experience of American culture by visiting some of the areas greatest attractions.

In the past we have had campers from Mexico, the United States, Columbia, Venezuela, Brazil, China, and South Korea. South Korean campers generally follow a different calendar which has some overlap with the general camp calendar.

Camper’s daily activities vary depending on the activities on the calendar. Daily activities may include:

  • Mass or prayer time
  • Breakfast
  • English class
  • Outing or camp activities
  • Sports
  • Themed night activities
  • Phone calls

Campers will be transported to and from all their activities by bus.

  • Application are reviewed as soon as all documents are submitted.
  • Campers should not make payments until they are officially accepted by the camp.
  • Welcome information is sent to the families in May.
  • Parents should return the data form sent in the welcome information as soon as possible.
  • Group travel is available for campers to and from Detroit.
